Managing Warehouses
A warehouse is a physical or logical stock location that can sit in a hierarchy and link to a branch, manager, and account.
Build the structure
Create a warehouse, choose its type, and select a parent when building sub-levels. The system generates a unique warehouse code automatically.
- Available types are main, sub, transit, damaged, and returns.
- All locations can be viewed as a warehouse tree.
Operations and controls
Assign the location to a branch and manager, add contact details, and decide whether issues may proceed when stock is insufficient.
- Negative stock is blocked by default.
- A warehouse can be activated or deactivated.
Rules and links
A warehouse with children cannot be deleted, and deletion retains the record for audit. The location can also link optionally to a general-ledger account.
- The warehouse code is unique within the company.
- Branch assignment supports operational location filtering.
