Reading Balances and Stock Cards
Balances show the current stock position, while the stock card explains how the balance reached its current value.
Understand the balance
For each item and warehouse, the system shows on-hand, reserved, and available quantities, average cost, total value, and latest receipt and issue dates.
- Available quantity equals on-hand quantity minus reserved quantity.
- You can view one item across warehouses or all items in one warehouse.
Stock card
The card combines receipt, issue, transfer, adjustment, and opening movements chronologically, with the balance and cost after each movement.
- Filter movements by period, warehouse, or movement type.
- The newest movements appear first.
Reordering
Use the below-reorder filter to find items whose current quantity is at or below their reorder point.
- Alerts classify shortages as critical or warning based on quantity and minimum level.
- The system suggests replenishment to the maximum level, or based on twice the reorder point when no maximum exists.
Source of changes
Balance views are read-only; quantities change through approved receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, and opening balances.
- Zero-quantity balances are excluded by default.
