Set Up POS Terminals

A terminal is the physical or virtual checkout station that determines the branch, warehouse, and cashier rules.

Create a terminal

Enter a terminal name and assign valid branch and warehouse locations. If no code is supplied, the system generates a sequential one.

  • The terminal can be physical or virtual.
  • It supports Arabic and English names.

Configure checkout behavior

Choose whether checkout permits negative stock or requires a customer, and whether cashiers may discount or override prices.

  • A default tax rate can be set.
  • Receipt header and footer text can be customized.

Update and removal

When settings are updated, unchanged values remain in place. A terminal with any current or historical sessions cannot be removed.

  • A terminal can be deactivated to prevent new sessions.
