Manage Cashier Sessions
A session groups a cashier's shift sales and helps reconcile actual collections with expected amounts.
Open a session
Select an active terminal and enter the cash in the drawer at shift start. The branch and warehouse are inherited from the terminal.
- A cashier cannot have two open sessions at once.
- A terminal cannot host two open sessions.
Sell during the session
Every POS sale is linked to the open session, whose summary shows sales totals, invoice count, and payment-method breakdown.
- The open session must belong to the cashier making the sale.
Close and reconcile
Enter the actual amount for each payment method at closing. The system derives expected totals from posted payments and adds cash sales to opening cash for the expected drawer balance.
- Expected and actual values are retained for variance analysis.
- A session cannot be closed twice.
