Hold and Restore Orders
Holding an order pauses an in-progress cart without losing its details so it can be resumed later.
Hold the cart
Save cart items, quantities, prices, discounts, taxes, and totals. An optional reference, customer, intended payment method, or note can be added.
- The branch is set automatically from the user's primary branch.
- The cart is preserved as an independent snapshot retaining displayed product names.
Restore the order
Choose an order in Held status to load its items back into the active cart. The system records who restored it and when.
- The same order cannot be restored twice.
Discard the order
An order can be discarded only while it is held. Its status becomes Discarded and the record remains preserved instead of being permanently erased.
- The list shows held orders by default, while restored or discarded orders can also be reviewed.
