Unit groups organize measurements and convert quantities consistently.
Unit groups
Create a group for each measurement family, then add its units.
- Every unit must belong to a group.
Base unit
Choose one base unit with factor one, then define every other unit relative to it.
- A conversion factor is required for every unit.
Use with products
Assign a base and alternative purchasing or selling units to products, with symbols beside quantities.
- Units or groups should not be removed while in use.
